New option boards for the Sinus Penta

Additional option boards are available for the Sinus Penta:
- BACnet
- Metasys N2
- Lonworks
- Interface for HTL encoder
- Backup power supply unit
BACnet, Metasys N2 and Lonworks boards enlarge Santerno’s offer for fieldbus boards among Profibus-DP, PROFIdrive, DeviceNet, Interbus, CANopen, ControlNet and TCP/IP Modbus boards and enhance Sinus Penta’s connectivity.
BACnet, Metasys N2 and Lonworks protocols are mainly used in Building Automation and HVAC.
The interface board for HTL encoder (ES913) has been designed to obtain optimum performance for closed-loop systems (particularly the FOC-Field Oriented Control) using differential line-driver encoders with TTL and HTL levels. HTL encoders are particularly useful for rather long cable lengths and disturbed environments.
The backup power supply unit requires external +24V (ES914) and safeguards the Sinus Penta’s control board even when no voltage is applied to the inverter supply mains.
This is particularly important for the systems where a network supervisor constantly checks the power supply status of the network nodes, including the Penta.
